Prada was founded by Mario Prada as a leather-goods company in 1913. When his granddaughter Miuccia Prada took charge of the family business in 1978, she revolutionized not only the brand but fashion itself. The Italian company still creates fine leather goods in addition to beautiful women's ready-to-wear, a men's collection, accessories, children's clothes, and even fragrances -- all executed with the panache which has made Prada famous.
